Four musicians and a dancer from the Basel ensemble Le Souper du Roi offer a Baroque participatory concert for children of elementary school age.
The children visit the historically documented princess “Figuelotte” and experience a day at the palace with her. They actively take part in the courtly rituals, immersing themselves in the exotic-feeling world of the Baroque – from getting up and dressing, to dance and fencing lessons, table manners, and hunting. The ensemble transports the children on an unforgettable musical journey through time with Baroque music played on historical wind instruments. The program concludes with a group dance guided by the princess.
